Sarah is the Chief Operating Officer and an Attorney at Northwest Law. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio. Her practice areas include real estate, estate planning, and probate administration. Before becoming an attorney, Sarah spent several years working on the operational side of the legal field, both within and outside law firms, which gave her a unique, big-picture perspective on how a firm’s operations shape client experience.
Passionate about the business of law, her background gives her an advantage when building the systems, processes, and technology that let attorneys focus on clients instead of administrative friction. She’s especially focused on how artificial intelligence can be responsibly applied within a law firm, not as a novelty, but as a tool for greater efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness. For Sarah, operational excellence isn’t a back-office concern; it’s a direct extension of client care, and she brings that mindset to every process she touches at Northwest Law.
In 2025, Sarah earned her Legal Lean Sigma® Yellow Belt in Process Improvement and Project Management from the Legal Lean Sigma Institute, formalizing her expertise in legal operational excellence. She also runs the operations of Northwest Exchange, the firm’s affiliated 1031-exchange company.
Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2025, graduating sixth in her class, summa cum laude. While in law school, she served as a Judicial Extern to The Honorable Justice Jennifer Brunner of the Supreme Court of Ohio and was a Staff Member and Symposium Editor for the Capital University Law Review. She received CALI Awards for Excellence in Legal Writing and Remedies. Sarah also stays connected to her alma mater, Cornell College, where she serves on its Alumni Board of Directors.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys time on her small farm with her husband and their animals. She loves spending time in the gym and outdoors, traveling, cooking, enjoying live music, and unwinding with a good book.
