Kelli Hughes provides strategic, client-focused legal counsel in real estate and general counsel matters for individuals, investors, and real estate professionals across Ohio. Her practice blends careful legal analysis with practical, transaction-level experience. Kelli’s previous experience working as a real estate agent on one of Central Ohio’s top teams gives her a unique perspective. In that role, she worked directly with residential buyers and sellers throughout Central and Southeastern Ohio. This firsthand experience informs her legal practice, helping her anticipate challenges, simplify transactions, and guide clients with a deep understanding of the real-world dynamics behind every real estate deal.
Prior to joining Northwest Law, Kelli served as Managing Agency General Counsel for the Office of the Ohio Public Defender and held leadership roles in nonprofit organizations. Her work included legislation and policy analysis, statutory interpretation, regulatory compliance, and organizational advising. She is known for strong legal writing, strategic planning, and a responsive, relationship-driven approach to client service.
Outside of work, Kelli enjoys amateur archaeology, oil painting, animals, tornado-chasing, road trips, and spending time with family.
